Transfer Switch

A transfer switch is a device that uses the suction force of an electromagnet and by mechanical held to change over contacts through which current flows. The current can be supplied, interrupted to a load, or changed over to another power source. The TAKADA’s transfer switches have been used for many years in various social infrastructures, such as large commercial buildings, hotels, department stores, hospitals, schools, communication facilities, and power plants not only in Japan, but also in other countries. Their performance, ease of use, safety and labor saving have been highly evaluated.

TGM-ES

Transfer switch that automatically changes over from normal power source to emergency power source.

FEATURES

  • Rated current: 30 A to 4500 A
  • This transfer switch changes over the two power sources instantaneously using an electromagnetic coil and supplies power to the load.
  • Various operating voltages and pole configurations, front connection or back connection type can be selected. In addition, numerous options are available to meet the needs of customers.
  • It uses an instantaneous drive and mechanical held type mechanism that makes normal consumption power zero because the electromagnetic coil is energized only during change-over operation and the contact is kept in contact mechanically after operation.
  • The contact has a proprietary structure that has excellent electrical properties and long life and provides high performance for a long period of time using safe insulation.

USE

Most suitable for change over of general normal power source and emergency power source (generator)

TGM-K

Transfer switch that automatically changes over from normal power source to emergency power source.

FEATURES

  • Rated current: 30A-63A (4 poles)
  • This transfer switch changes over the two power sources instantaneously using an electromagnetic coil and supplies power to the load.
  • It has such a structure that the electromagnetic coil is energized only during change-over operation and normal consumption power becomes zero.
  • The product has a dust-resistant structure for safety by combining a small, lightweight and reliable mechanism with a contact that provides excellent electrical properties.
  • Simplified intermediate-off mechanism that is useful during circuit inspection (Option)

USE

Most suitable for change over of normal power source and emergency power source (small generator)

TGM-VE

Transfer switch that can set off-time during power source change over and can change over it by over-lap

FEATURES

  • Rated current: 30 A to 4000 A
  • Off position type (or over-lap type) transfer switch that changes over the two power sources.
  • It has such a structure that the electromagnetic coil is energized only during change-over operation and normal consumption power becomes zero.
  • The off-time (or over-lap time) of the main contact can be set freely by designing the operation circuit of the customer.

USE

  • Off position type: Load equipment (mainly motor, etc.) of which the power supply must be interrupted reliably.
  • Over-lap type: Load, etc. which cannot be interrupted even instantaneously when change over of the power sources of two synchronized systems.

TGM-VB

Off position type transfer switch with 2-way bypass switch. The transfer switch itself can be inspected and maintained without power interruption to the load.

FEATURES

  • Rated current: 30 A to 4000 A
  • Off position type transfer switch that changes over the two power sources.
  • It has such a structure that the electromagnetic coil is energized only during change-over operation and normal consumption power becomes zero.
  • The transfer switch can be inspected and maintained using the bypass switch without power interruption to the load.
  • Safety is assured by a rigid interlock mechanism when the transfer switch is removed or inserted.
  • The bypass switch uses a fast-on, fast-off method.
  • A two-way method is used to add a bypass switch to both the normal power source and emergency power source sides.

USE

Most suitable for change over of power sources of important load circuits which do not allow power interruption

HYBRID Transfer Switch

The HYBRID transfer switch most suitable for facilities in which slight off-time has an influence on the load.

ACTS

The HYBRID transfer switch is a device that combines a mechanical transfer switch with a semiconductor switch. It is changed over to the load side without instantaneous interruption in a non-interconnected power system. It is suitable for facilities and IT power supplies in which slight off-time affects the load and has been used in large quantity at data centers of communication and financial organizations and factories.

LINE UP

100 VAC, 200 VAC, 400 VAC, 60 A to 400 A

FEATURES

  • When the two power sources are ready, synchronizing timing is controlled by a microcomputer in the device and can be changed over without instantaneous interruption (off-time of 10 µsec or less).

Electronic Transfer Switch

Static type uninterruptible transfer switch for change over of the two power sources by semiconductors.

ACSS

Static type uninterruptible transfer switch for change over of the two power sources by semiconductors. The Electronic transfer switch is a high-speed transfer switch operated by semiconductors. There is no mechanical wear, arc nor operating sound during change over because of use of a semiconductor switch. Compared with a UPS that requires battery replacement, reliability of power sources can be improved more economically.

LINE UP

100 VAC, 15A, 30A, 50A. (200 VAC will be provided later.)

FEATURES

It can be changed over within 4 msec at the time of power failure. It can be changed over without instantaneous interruption when restoring power and changing over it manually.

DC Contactor

DC contactor suitable for turning communication. DC power supply on and off.

If arc occurs when the DC circuit is interrupted, it continues much longer than when the AC circuit is interrupted. Therefore, various measures should be taken for the DC contactor to remove arc quickly and interrupt the circuit properly. The TAKADA's DC contractor is a product that is backed up by the actual achievement and technology and can be used safely.

LINE UP

35 VDC, 60VDC or 140 VDC, 30 A to 600 A
